Police say a clue found near Mobile could identify and lead to the arrest of The Bat, the white man believed to have terrorized the northern city area with four robberies and several house breaks. Authorities are optimistic a quick arrest may follow as county and city units push to locate the thief and place him in custody.

Beverly Hills Mass August 20 Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes denied a stay of execution for Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. The radicals are to die before midnight Monday. An appeal for certiorari was not filed as papers were not in order.
Justice Holmes at his Beverly home refused a stay of execution for Sacco and Vanzetti. The decision was announced by D Hill, chief of counsel Jerence Holmes, with a brief return statement issued from the house as copies were prepared for Boston.
