Dr. Matt A. Boykin, appointed to the board of revenue and road commissioners, won renomination in Mobile County with 5 704 first choice votes and 143 second choices for 3 841 total against Will P. Berbeze who had 3 837. The tally produced a 92 vote first class margin and a four vote overall margin. Joe Crow was renominated as tax collector by defeating George A. Dorson 5943 to 5780. Sheriff William H. Holcombe and J Blocker Thornton also won their nominations in a closely watched canvass.
