S. G. Forbes of Bayou La Barre is docketed at the county jail on a charge of malicious injury to an animal for maiming a hog owned by J. J. Clark of Cohen. Forbes posted bond to appear in inferior criminal court Saturday. Dewey Freeman is also jailed on a charge of operating an automobile on a public highway without lights, as reported by Deputy Sheriff Will Ernest.
C T Shores a 35 year old chauffeur of 764 South Lawrence street was fined 25 dollars or 25 days by Acting Recorder E J Grove for assaulting Josephine Corrales 20 of 769 South Wilkinson street in a morning dispute at Corrales home. Corrales and Myrtle Underwood at the same address were held on disorderly charges while John Conley and Paul Gusslar seamen arrested on the general charge were dismissed. The immoral house charge against Corrales was also dismissed.
The ladies' auxiliary to the Mobile County Tuberculosis Association is called to meet Friday at 10:30 AM in the assembly room of the Cawthon Hotel. Full attendance is requested as important matters will be discussed.
Morris Berger a minor filed suit in the Circuit court against Yellow Cab Company seeking 5006 for injuries alleged after a taxi struck him on August 10 at Government and Royal streets. He claims bruises and other damages from the collision.
A Quigley Tire Company service truck caught fire near Telegraph Road before noon. Fire crews responded with several engines and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation.
