Tragic Netley Station Crash Claims Miss Taft
At Netley’s Station yesterday a collision between a Mobile Bay Shore passenger train and an automobile killed Miss Virginia Toft of Mobile and left five others seriously hurt. E W Duck and his 14 year old daughter Ruth were the most seriously injured but showed improvement today at Inge Bondurant sanitarium. Funeral arrangements were made for Miss Taft with the service set at 3 20 this afternoon. The car was driven by A G Richardson Jr of Seaboard Alabama. Richardson suffered severe injuries to a leg which required amputation below the knee.

Judge Leigh Sr Dies After Long Illness in Alabama
Judge Norville R. Leigh Sr. a Confederacy veteran and 24 year probate judge of Escambia County Alabama, died at a local infirmary after six weeks illness.
