Charlies D. Meikle a 42 year old native of South Shields England died after tripping on the deck of the steamer Thames Med and plunging 45 feet into the hold. Doctors said the fall caused fatal neck injury. He had just begun work at 7 30 this morning aboard the British registered vessel Turner Terminals will bury the deceased in Mobile per funeral directors. Coroner Dr S H Hale deemed the death accidental.
