The German steamship Friefeld damaged in a collision with the Mallory Line steamer Kathadin in the channel will be repaired by Mobile shipyards. Bids are being received by William Semine of New Orleans, with a likely contract value near $50,000 and work expected to start soon at Mobile yards.
The case of H. H. Baker, operator of a Government Street Loop car, charged with reckless driving, was called in recorder's court and reset for next Wednesday. Edward Entrekin, 17, of 208 Dearbornet, riding a bicycle, was struck at Conception and Conti streets, bruised, and treated by Dr. J. L. Taylor.
Frederick Smith a Swede ordered deported to Sweden remains in Mobile County Jail awaiting repairs to the German steamer Friefeld after a collision with the Mallory Liner Kathadin. He was in the forecastle and bruised by flying wood splinters but is in custody of the vessel master as a protection measure.
Mrs. Claiborne Schley remains in serious condition at Providence Infirmary after being accidentally shot in the back by her husband on Thursday night. Attendants report a restless night and persistently grave condition.
A. W. Stanton arrested last Wednesday at Bay View west shore of Mobile Bay for violating prohibition law. He was fined $50 and 20 days hard labor. fine paid. Deputy Senior Smith and Blackman also jailed H Detcitosa for speeding, fined $5 and costs in the same court.
Ed Chariton, 24, arrested here by Detective Robert L. Holmes and Officer Jake Untrevierson, was taken to Pascagoula Mississippi today. He is alleged to have pumped a pee weed between Pascagoula, but Chariton denied the charge.

A short circuit on burning electric wires between Dauphin and Conti streets at 8 45 this morning triggered Station 31 to dispatch fire units. Fire crews arrived but aid was not required. Workmen had earlier thrown boards across the wires, starting the blaze.
