Burglaries Plea and Docket Actions Hit Circuit Court
In two cases Admit Burglarizing Local Drug Stores Roe Tg Wo Shee of E T Frederickson and Lawrence Williams pleaded guilty to burglaries at Welch's Cedar and New Jersey streets and Parker's Dearborn and Texas streets. Each received one year hard labor. John Kruse Jr also pleaded guilty to burglary and drew one year. Prosecution said evidence against Ward and Edwardt was insufficient and charges against them were nolled. Robbery charges against Tommie Hackins and Cave Rivers were nol pressed. They had been indicted and sentenced to penitentiary terms of 30 and x years for the summer 1923 robbery of Officer Pat Delahunty on Clayton and Glennon avenues. Attorneys Outlaw & Kilborn appealed, court held convictions based on insufficient testimony. case status noted. Will Hogan arson and related charges proceed to trial.
