Cotton Market Here Resumed To Week In Mobile

The Mobile Cotton Exchange will resume this week with New Orleans opening Wednesday and Mobile Thursday. Quotations expected Friday or Saturday. J J Monaghan bought a bale at 10 cents from Baker Lyons for Vanderbilt Hotel New York to display as an inducement to buy. EB Buck of City Bank and Trust Company bought a bale and placed it near his desk with a label urging others to buy a bale from Mobile County.

Cotton Men Plan Bonded Warehouses and Acreage Curtailment

Alabama division of the Southern Cotton Association met in Montgomery with about one hundred delegates. President Sey mour opened proceedings and four resolutions were offered on bonded warehouses, next year acreage curtailment, local committees for reducing acreage on October 3, and substituting cotton goods for other materials in packaging. A committee including W. W. Thompson and others was named to refer the resolutions.
