A Times dispatch cites Galicia losses for Austria at about 300000 killed wounded or prisoners and 1000 guns. Servian legation says at least 150000 Servian troops are in Hungary pressing an offensive toward Frushkagora, with Austrian entrenchments on roads to Budapest and plans to secure the Servian left flank.
At a noon City Commission session the board renewed the ten year contract with the Sisters of Charity to operate the city hospital, instead of ceding control to the University of Alabama medical department. The contract runs through March 1925, following debates spurred by medical faculty and alumni resolutions.
