The commission stated it will not insist on collecting taxes on such insurances following these precedents.

The city of Montgomery asks the city court to enjoin the Postal Telegraph Company from operating in Montgomery except for interstate or government messages until it pays a $125 annual business license and complies with the ordinance. The injunction petition follows a long city challenge, and the company's attorney asserts the license is unconstitutional. F A Bivens, manager of the Montgomery office, has been arrested about seventy five times and fined in the recorder's court.
In Salinas California on October 24 1926 George Kodani the self confessed killer of Helena Woodsmith a New York artist was convicted of murder in the first degree. The jury after 17 hours rejected his self defense plea and fixed life imprisonment. Kodani remained unmoved by the verdict.
Washington reports show Alabama will have local rains Sunday with cooler highs in the north, followed by unsettled conditions Monday likely rain. Mississippi also expects local rains and cooler air with Sunday and Monday unsettled and probably rain.
