Four Hundred Pound Black Bear Shot by Chunchula Man
E. W. Lewis of Chunchula killed a 400 pound black bear after a long chase lasting over five miles through swampy terrain. The bear, which measured six feet, killed one of Lewis's dogs before he could shoot it. Lewis reported the hunt to The Item this morning.
