Fire Friday morning gutted the Armour Packing Company building at Commerce and Government streets in Mobile. Water floods the interiors while four thousand spectators and about a dozen crew watch the blaze. Firemen report several minor injuries and a dramatic third floor rope escape by Upchurch and Jenkins. The fire was under control by 11:30 as fireboats Independent and Leo and department engines fought the flames.
