German Rushes On Avocourt Stopped In Malancourt Action

Paris dispatch reports last night German infantry attacked Avocourt wood to retake positions but were checked by French fire. German gains near Malancourt were not reinforced and heavy artillery fires were noted from the Meuse. A separate Greek protest followed Saloniki bombardment amid renewed raids and aerial actions near Saloniki and Orfani.
