The Friday Bridge Club held its final Easter eve meeting with Miss Allea Gower at 3 PM. Gower arranged three guest tables for Miss Eleanor Bray of Birmingham, with guests Edna Manning May Leatherbury Mary Knight Rush Annie Moore Provost Dorothy Talcott Ula Walsh Margaret Blacksher Iane Gordon Mabel Hartwell. Hilda Broadwood won the club prize a pair of blue silk hose. Provost won the guest prize, Bray won the consolation. Delicious refreshments followed.

Mr John A Holabird and his sister Mrs Towns of Chicago joined their parents Mr and Mrs Holabird at the Cottage Hotel on Dauphin Island during the past week and left Friday.
G E Newman citrus grower and realtor leaves for Auburn Alabama. Henry Woods Meridian Mississippi businessman and daughter visit Mobile. Mrs P C Steele and Irene travel to Atlanta to join Mr Steele at Winecoff Hotel. A L Staples Bank of Mobile vice president departs for New York via Louisville and Nashville.
Miss Porter Pope of Mobile plans Easter return from Agnes Scott to Athens Georgia to spend holidays with Miss Marie Reviere. Miss Corinne Grotz departs for Birmingham then Tennessee to join a San Francisco exposition party, away about three months. Miss Katie Hurtel visits Magnolia Springs with the Gaillards. Mrs A J Staub recovers from grip and travels from New Orleans to Chicago. The Gen S B Holabird voyage to Dauphin Island includes a flag presentation to the island school. The Holabirds plan a winter home on the island. Guests at the Cottage Hotel include Dr John R Kimbrough and Messrs Frank R Smith and George Powell of Mobile.
The Bachelors will host their first Easter dance on April 6. They are famed as genial hosts and their entertainments are eagerly anticipated by society circles.
Miss Gladys Tompkins will oversee a children’s cotillion in the Under Five Flags Chapter, with proceeds aiding a scholarship. Helen Patterson performs a ballet, a quartet including Marshall McPhillips and Catherine Stewart will dance, Tatao dance by Edwards, Dorothy Edwards, and others. dancing to follow. Home made candy and treats will be available.
The regular meeting of the Century Book Club will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o clock with Mrs John Ramsey.
The occasion marked Harry Leftwich Jr fourth birthday at his Monterey Street home with twenty friends. Centerpiece featured pink azaleas roses and asparagus ferns. each place held a bunny filled with candy. The birthday cake with four pink candles drew cheers as Harry blew them out. Attendees included Lemerie and Ella Andrews Turner.
