Forrest Highway Route Choice Set for March 24 Meeting
The Forrest Highway Association will choose the Montgomery to Mobile route at a March 24 meeting in Montgomery. Two options exist via Laverne, Andalusia, Brewton or a river-following path through Greenville and Monroeville toward Baldwin and Mobile. Officials expect a spirited south Alabama contest and a formal designation without inspection. The group’s officers are Richard W. Massey, Earl Lay, and H. A. Wheeling. Also, Bankers Group 2 meets in Birmingham, and Dr. P B Moss plans to resign as state bacteriologist and lab director.
