Charleston March 6. Local post office officials could not give an accurate value of registered mail stolen from Southern Railway train No. 11 last night. They believe the robber took relatively little. Much of the registered mail from Charleston is transferred for shipment at Branchville South Carolina.
New York reporters report the appellate division of the supreme court affirmed the conspiracy convictions of former Police Inspectors Martha Thompson and Sweeney for obstructing justice. The court reversed Hussey's conviction and ordered discharge for the fourth inspector.
London papers hail Woodrow Wilson for his Panama canal tolls stance and regard his handling as a model for old world diplomats. The Pall Mall Gazette lauds his moral approach while urging Britain to reciprocate by attending the San Francisco exposition.
The Country Club filed a deed of trust in probate court with City Bank and Trust Company for 17500. The funds are to buy a new site at the top of Spring Hill on the old Webb place and for improvements.

Rumor cites G. T. Fitzhugh and S. Walter Jones of Memphis as appointees. The governor also orders analysis of near beers by the state pure food and drug department to determine alcohol content.
El Paso report says General Villa threatens to execute Luis Terrazas in Chihuahua unless 500 000 pesos are paid to the Constitutionalist treasury.
