Berlin June 21 Emperor William expresses delight over his twenty fifth reign anniversary. In a Bethmann Hollweg issued rescript he thanks God for past successes and the "sun of peace" that dispelled clouds. He calls the jubilee a stream of blessings for German lands and pledges continued effort for the German people.
J K Jackson of Montgomery is named by President Michael Cody to head the Alabama Bankers Association legislative committee aiding farmers against boll weevil and promoting diversified farming. W W Crawford and M B Wellborn join. state lawmakers may not be needed this year. The committee includes Judge C E Thomas and others.
In Vienna on June 21 an inquiry in parliament demanded health condition details for Scutari. It alleged semi decomposed and half mumified Turkish corpses lay buried near the fortress while criticizing Vice Admiral Cecil Burney, head of the international force at Scutari.

The June 21 storm in Gadsden County Florida caused about a million dollars in damage. An elderly Black man died near Tallahassee after being crushed under a barn. Tobacco crops and barns suffered extensive destruction while shade trees were blown down. The same storm damaged Quincy with a seven o'clock tornado strike on Wednesday night.

In Montgomery on June 21 Major W A Gunter assaulted attorney C H Roquemore in open court during the Gunter divorce case. The trial, marked by brutal testimony and questions about Mrs Gunter sanity, is expected to continue for another week or two. Major Gunter, a veteran Alabama lawyer, heads the household with six children while Mrs Gunter resides upstairs with them.
