Nays He Is Crazy Jailed After Escape from Alabama Asylum
Vv. B. Wheat escaped from the asylum for the insane at Tuscaloosa Alabama and was captured Tuesday by police. He resisted, bending a piece of iron pipe in his cell, but officers subdued him and sent him to the county jail. He will be returned to the asylum.

City Wharf Apron Contract Awarded for Forty Days
The Jett Muths Construction Company won the city commission contract to reconstruct the city wharf apron for 2215 dollars. Underclothing Shoes for Children Asked by Relief Committee
The Central Relief Committee of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce met at noon Tuesday and set up an auxiliary group led by Mrs. Rhett Goode to distribute clothing to women and children. Many appeals for children's underclothing and shoes were received, and merchants were asked to donate.
