London dispatch reports the new Turkish cabinet will recall Ottoman peace delegates from London and order ambassadors in Vienna and Petersburg to return to Constantinople. Enver Bey, a Young Turk leader, is appointed chief of the general staff of the Turkish army.
At the peace delegations’ headquarters in London the four heads held several morning meetings. Cipher messages from Sofia Belgrade Athens and Cettinje circulated as allies debate Constantinople’s revolt, preferring that major powers make the first move without prejudicing future action.

It will manufacture syrup molasses and sugar and build factories in Mobile and nearby areas with headquarters in Mobile. Initial capital of 5000 starts operations. Incorporators and officers include L J Knox Calvert president L L Duggar vice president and G E Nesom general manager, both from Mobile.
The Women's Recall League of San Francisco reports 12,000 names on petitions to remove Police Judge Charles L. Weller, 5,000 above the required threshold for a recall election. The push followed a bail reduction for a man charged with an offense against a woman.

Frederick Parker a 27 year old British subject detained in Mobile accuses brutal treatment at the Huxford and Orvin turpentine stockade in Atmore Alabama. He describes beatings for supposed poor work, forced labor in rain and swamps, flogging by warden Greeley Orvin, and guards taunting with British consul remarks. Parker says he and other convicts endured severe punishments, including hay rides and barbaric restraints, with medical neglect and compulsory Mormon services. He seeks scrutiny by authorities following a prior nine month sentence and subsequent transfer to the camp.
In London on January 24 the suffrage amendment to strike the word male from the franchise bill faced its critical stage. Holy Hour devotions begin tonight at 7 30 p.m. at St. Matthew's with benediction, continuing Fridays through Holy Week.
