Montgomery Alabama January 19 Special Returns from Tuesday's state bond issue election are incomplete but early figures show opposition leading by about 12,500. With less than half the counties reporting the statewide vote appears to favor defeat, while Birmingham and larger towns support the bond plan. The city of Montgomery voted 300 000 in bonds with a 814 majority, and the city also backed the state issue by 596. The state sought bonds for one and a half million dollars to fund floating debt.
