Montgomery Bankers See Prosperity's Return

The Montgomery Clearing House reports 1915 bank clearings at 49 384 61 dollars, about one million more than 1914's 48 888 642. Local bankers call the rise remarkable and view it as a sign of prosperity returning to the region. An amateur gambler notes that luck can swing both ways, sometimes sour, sometimes sweet.
