Auto Smash Ends With Drivers Freed After No Reckless Driving
A collision at Government and St Emanuel streets resulted in both drivers freed when no reckless driving was shown. W M Molyneux of New York and John Stallworth, colored, paid for their own damages. Molyneux planned to ship his Ford to New York after repairs, claiming the crash was the first in three months. Also in court, Albert Catledge, colored, held for forgery with $300 bond after Jim Ales accused him of writing a forged credit order. Ales paid for the coat and was discharged. Witness Arthur Lennon testified Catledge offered Ales $20 to leave the city. Real estate transfers listed NCB to Theatre Co and several property moves.
