Well Known Traveling Man Dick Carter Dies in Mobile
W A Dick Carter a veteran traveling salesman active in south Alabama politics died Tuesday at 5 am in Mobile Infirmary after a short illness. Born Grove Hill Alabama 49 years ago he spent 30 years in Mobile with St Andrew Hotel as his base. He represented W W Croch Company of Lynchburg Virginia in this territory since age 18 and remained there until death leaving wife and one daughter. Burial plans include Burke funeral parlors and transport to Gr Hill by Southern Railway Wednesday morning.
