New York February 19: Sixteen men were arrested after a riot on Fifth Avenue in front of St Patrick's Cathedral. About a quarter hour of fighting halted traffic for several blocks as 200 men battled in the street. Police reserves charged the crowd with night sticks and dispersed the rioters. The police said the clash pitted strikers from a nearby tailoring shop against workers trying to take their jobs.
