New York Dec 26 The first loan application to the 135 000 000 cotton fund was received today from Alabama. Because not all of the 100 000 000 class A subscriptions have yet been received the local bank committee will not act on the application until next week. Subscriptions to class A certificates were received today from Baltimore and Kansas City totaling about 4 500 000 and bringing the grand total to about 90 000 000. The committee has been advised that signed subscriptions 2 560 000 are in transit from San Francisco Minneapolis and Rio de Janeiro.
