Dr. Joseph K. Dixon reports deplorable conditions among 189 tribes in the United States. He cites starvation pests neglect by the white man and warns the Karilla Apaches near the Continental Divide could die out in 14 years.
The AP reports in Tokyo on December 13 that exchange missions like Shosuke Sato traveling to the United States are deemed highly important. Baron Makino and Sapin Okuda hosted farewell ceremonies praising these visits for widening American understanding of Japan and reducing tensions. Sato is dean of the agricultural college at Tohoku University and formerly studied at Johns Hopkins University.
A sub committee of the National Association of State Commissioners met in Chicago to discuss a uniform interstate rate system. The organization was formed and members were apportioned with B. Bee of Missouri chosen secretary and Martin S. Decker serving as chairman. The session focused on a proposed minimum rate deemed fair to all states.

New York detectives hunted today for a swarthy clean shaven young foreigner believed to have sent the bomb that killed Ida Anusewitz as she opened it at the O K Bottling Company desk. Police think business rivalry motivated the act and that the man acted as an agent for someone else.
J M Kroner of near Dawes Alabama delivered 400 straps of Satsuma oranges in Mobile on Friday, totaling about 1000 straps for the winter season. He farms under two acres with 2000 trees. Farm Demonstrations Agent George A Maiee notes per tree averages around 200 oranges.
