City waterworks reports October meter installs and pipe work

Cyclist shot and injures homeless man at Congress and Royal
James Hardgill, a negro, was shot and seriously wounded at 6 o'clock Monday afternoon at Congress and Royal streets by a negro named Jasper after a quarrel over a game. Hardgill was taken to the city hospital. The shooter fled as a crowd gathered. Clothier of Mobile Welding Company, riding a motorcycle, crashed into a street car at the same corner, breaking his leg.
