Alkali Ike and Sophie headline Bijou Matinee
Comic scraps unfold with Alkali Ike and Sophie in a farcical romance at the Bijou. Letters, mistaken loves, and a bearish bride lead to a comic showdown as suitors race for a match amid misread signals and a stolen kiss. A second vignette, The World Above, contrasts Ruth’s desire for wealth with happiness found in honest love.
