Lamb Only Witness in Passenger Rate Case of S and N A Road

Special to The Item. Montgomery Alabama August. G W Lamb of Louisville assistant comptroller of the Louisville and Nashville railroad will probably be the only witness for the South and North Alabama Railroad in its hearing before the Alabama Railroad Commission which began yesterday. Lamb was on the stand yesterday and remains today. All evidence should be completed this afternoon. Much of the testimony from the Louisville and Nashville passenger rate case will apply to the current case in Alabama. The proceedings respond to a commission citation to show cause why a reasonable passenger rate should not be established in Alabama and mirror the three prior cases disposed of by the commission.
