Higher Schools for the Negroes Study Announced
The U S Bureau of Education, with the Phelps Pokes fund trustees, will study private and higher schools for negros. A report on equipment, work and the schools' role in the system will be issued later. The fund, about one million dollars, was left by Miss Caroline Phelps Stokes for education among other philanthropies. Gifts support UVA U Georgia and Peabody College for Negro education fellowships and research.

Police Picnic Praised By Thousands At Mobile Park
