London July 12 Charles Stewart Rolle a leading English aviator and motor industry figure was killed when his heavier-than-air machine collapsed during the alighting prize at the Bournemouth aviation meeting. The aeroplane wreckage crushed him as spectators watched. A. A. Demara was injured and another rider unharmed. Rolle, third man to cross the English Channel in a Wright biplane, held numerous motor and aviation honors and was a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Royal Meteorological Society.
