Auction at Francitas Opens Nebraskan Colony Town

The Francitas land sale drew Nebraskan colonists in a 14 car train as 3,?1734 town lots and an equal number of small farms sold at highest bid. A 2room hotel, canning factory, store, cottages and a tar yard were built and the artesian well donated to the town. Proceeds fund a school and church while residents plan to move lumber and supplies from Houston.
