They dragged the chest into their wagon, dumped it in, sped away as alarms rang out, and vanished before officers could intercept them. The loot included the railway receipts from the previous day and the robbers fled in a fast touring auto with two men onboard.
Chicago reports a new fragment of the Gospel of Mark dating to the Muslim conquest era. Prof Henry A Bandera of the University of Michigan announced the find before the Archeological Institute at the University of Chicago. The fragment covers Christ appearing to eleven apostles in Jerusalem and includes a new verse about the power of Satan and belief. The text was authenticated by a Detroit-based expert.
