Mexico City Dec 14 United Press says the Mexican War Department officially announced the result of the first battle in Guerrero. Rebels held the town against a federal force commanded by General. Fourteen federal soldiers were reported casualties amid the revolt and unrest in western Chihuahua.
Rebels were routed completely in Guerrero as federal troops attacked from Podernates, moving toward the town amid heavy trench fighting. Navarro planned to encamp near the town before advancing, with reports of entrenchment and enemy retreat under heavy rifle and machine gun fire.
