Worthampshire April 29 A Smith College senior Helen Marden of Somerville is dead after Porter Smith a Dartmouth graduate from Chicago shot her at nine this morning and then killed himself. The couple had recently renewed engagement after a winter break but she refused. Both were juniors at Smith College living in the same hall. The woman was the daughter of Mrs Frank Marden of Somerville.
