Fire destroys Bison Hotel amid fast spreading flames

Fire discovered at 8 o'clock Sunday morning on the second floor of the Bison hotel. Within an hour and five minutes the hotel grocery and residence next to it were also reduced to ashes. Mrs. Holmes Bingham first noticed the blaze and alerted occupants. Dr. Morgan aided by passing gear out a front window as the fire roared through the building.

The Big Noise in a County Court Case

Waldorsky sought replevin from County Judge Drewry to reclaim a horse alleged stolen from Joan Madsen. After papers were served the judge charged 25 dollars, prompting protests. The judge allegedly proclaimed I am the Big Noise around here. The item laments voter discontent with ongoing courthouse turmoil and calls for departure of the current residents.
