Watt Tops Lemmon For Mayor In City Election

Voters on Tuesday chose Watt over Lemmon for mayor and Lippman over Gilman for city commissioner. About 240 votes were cast with five or six rejected. officers take office in early May. Olive Williams visits from near Isabel and Sheriff Anderson and C A Bennett visit town. Hettinger high school boys beat Lemmon 2 to 1 in an eleven inning game on Friday the 24th.

Farmers consider sweet clover as Perkins County forage

Perkins County farmers and others have tested sweet clover as a future forage crop. Orders from Adams and Perkins counties total ten pounds each at 35 cents per pound. Planting five pounds per acre yields hay in the first season, with seeding starting in the second year.
