Voters on Tuesday chose Watt over Lemmon for mayor and Lippman over Gilman for city commissioner. About 240 votes were cast with five or six rejected. officers take office in early May. Olive Williams visits from near Isabel and Sheriff Anderson and C A Bennett visit town. Hettinger high school boys beat Lemmon 2 to 1 in an eleven inning game on Friday the 24th.
Perkins County farmers and others have tested sweet clover as a future forage crop. Orders from Adams and Perkins counties total ten pounds each at 35 cents per pound. Planting five pounds per acre yields hay in the first season, with seeding starting in the second year.

O C Gibson returns from Fallon Mont to assume charge of a saloon. Atty P J Tscharner goes to Lodgepole to defend George Henley in a case involving alleged injuries to his son and a separate assault on his daughter. The daughter charge is dismissed. Henley bound over on the first charge. Harry Rix and family host Riis siblings Angot and Yngvar Riis of Miles City Mont to visit before planning departure for Norway’s 100th Independence celebration on the 17th.
Clyde W Keairnes appeals to Adams County Republicans ahead of the June primary. He recounts homestead life, three years as Hettinger clerk, two terms as city marshal, and asserts readiness to serve as sheriff with minimal cost. He asks for votes and pledges to deliver results if nominated and elected. Harry D Gates of Bradley visits and files on Harding County land.
Notice announces payment demand for city warrants from the Street and Sidewalk and Forworks funds. It lists registered warrant numbers including 4H, ending 124, and states outstanding warrants are called for payment. The notice notes exmaes from Sie Wanted-Clean cotton rags at 5 cents a pound in this office.
