Traction Engine Backfire Injures North Dakota Man
Nan J. W. Johnson of Gascoyne North Dakota suffered a severe jaw injury when a backfire while cranking a traction engine struck him. The crank hit just below the mouth tearing flesh to the chin but did not break the jaw bone. He was brought to Lemmon for treatment by Dr. Phelps and required several stitches.

Dr. CB Strang with Mrs Strang and Marrietta Burdick depart Thursday for Alexandria Minnesota for a family reunion. They travel Yellowstone Trail to Minneapolis to meet Strangs brothers J M Strang Sprague Washington and J Strang Granteburr Wisconsin and brother in law A P Nelson UW Board of Regents president. From there four cars head to Alexandria. After the reunion Strang goes to Mayo Rochester for two weeks study and may promote Trans Missouri Empire prospects to Minnesota interests.

Equity Convention Largely Attended in Lemmon
The Farmers Equity Union convention met in Lemmon on June 17 18 with strong attendance of delegates from exchanges in North and South Dakota and several visitors. They advanced the Aberdeen Creamery Mercantile Exchange project to centralize creamery operations for the territory tributary to Aberdeen South Dakota. Directors will meet in Aberdeen at month end to rent a building and begin preparations to start the creamery at once.

They joined two men from the south touring the country for investment prospects, rode past Grand River crops, noted good growth in rye oats alfalfa and native grasses, lunched at Reservoir Lake, swam for the first time this season, and returned via Lemmon and Bowman along the Yellowstone Trail with Dr. Phelps joining briefly.
