A state veterinary inspection in Hettinger revealed numerous tuberculosis cases among cattle, with about fifteen animals condemned and ordered destroyed. Lungs were severely damaged in several cows. Local farmers aim to eradicate the disease, while honoring North Dakota law reimbursing up to 25 dollars per herd. One dairy cow from Dr. Keniston was spared by his choice to dispose of it locally rather than move it south.
