Vaudeville at Star Theatre Draws Strong Attendance

Modern Woodmen Install Officers in Local Hall

The Modern Woodmen of America held an officer installation at their hall on Wednesday evening. Installing officer Robert F. Priebe presided as Venerable Council William Westpahl, Grand Worthy Advisor H. Kimler Priebe, Clerk Henry Mensing, Banker W. H. Doherty, Escort Martin Vetter, Sentry Robert Limberger, Watchman Henry Thorson. A banquet followed and was greatly enjoyed by all members.

Four-Year-Old Boy Injured by Horse Kick At Farm

A four-year-old boy, Tommy Grotemeyer, was kicked atop the head by a horse while near the family’s farm. Mrs Horr Hosts Christmas Party for E K Club

Mrs Horr entertained the E K Club last Tuesday afternoon with holly decorated rooms and a Christmas guessing contest directed by Mrs Doherty. Santa Claus gave a gift to the hostess and each member received a handmade pin. A reading of letters from former members and a three course lunch followed, described as one of the most pleasant meetings.
