National Woman's Suffrage groups extend campaign in Washington
Washington, Dec. 31. U C T New Year's Eve Ball Another Big Hit
The Local Order U C T held a New Year s Eve ball on Wednesday night to a very large and successful attendance. The hall was richly decorated with Japanese lanterns streamers and umbrellas edged with lights producing a soft red glow. A punch booth, cloak rooms, and a decorated Commercial Club area added to the festive setup. Cournoyers orchestra played well and encore responses highlighted the dancing. At midnight the lights were dimmed for five minutes as the whistle blew in the new year.
