Mrs Wn Shilke and children on the Tom Heath farm north of town escaped a fatal house fire last Thursday evening. The home burned completely while the family slept, forcing them to flee to the barn. Mr Shilke tried to save belongings, but the blaze spread too fast. Contents valued around 1400 with insurance, clothing and personal items lost.
