Landscaping Plans by East Harris County Garden Clubs at Lee College
The East Harris County Federation of Garden Clubs approved landscaping for 30 acres around Lee College. Plans include yupon screen by the gully, post oaks along Lee Drive, evergreens, jasmine, dwarf gardenias, and diverse shrubs with a $5000 plus cost. A garden-club advisory committee will guide caretakers on pruning and care. Nine clubs join the federation. The article also covers Lee College intramural badminton finals with Davidson, Choate, Watley, Hensley, Irwin, Deckert and Lowry, plus upcoming men’s volleyball and intramural participation.
