Bond Issue Funds Dramatic Arts Center Expansion
Lee College voters approved an $994000 expansion bond and .08 tax per $100 valuation after a 1968 bond issue. Construction began Aug 2 1968 with J B Hazelwood as contractor and James A Davis as architect. The Dramatic Arts Building will include offices for the Dean and a theater in the round.

Lee College Allocates Over $20000 for Student Service Fees
Lee College has appropriated more than $20 000 in student service fees for the fall and spring semesters. The funds support intercollegiate sports and campus programs, with detailed budgets for basketball 7 600 track 5 465 tennis 3 770 golf 2 350 and various student activities including Dues and fees 2 900 Student Government 2 600 Lyceum 1 000 intramural 750 and a free swim program 500. Additional aid for academic clubs intramural sports and related needs totals 500 with Lee Log 500 and Lee Lantern about 4 600 plus supplies and ID cards 850.

Moody Foundation Project Nears Completion for Campus Admin Center
The Moody Foundation funds a campus administration center remodel with 8,364 square feet of offices under the old Student Union roof, costing 8.25 per square foot in a planned 73,000 total. G B Chatham Construction of Baytown set Sept 15, 1968, then Oct 23, 1968 as new completion dates delayed by labor shortages. The center will house Career Development, Central Records, Institutional Research, and Administration Support including the President and Academic Dean offices.

Afro-American Union Sells Soul Balls on Campus
The Afro-American Union on campus sells “Soul Balls” an antenna decoration for 25 cents to fund projects. The group, active since its formation this year, sponsored an all-school dance on Wednesday November 13 with music by the Continentals and plans a campus talent show. Tony Bell is new president. officers include Jerry Beasley and Glenda Greene. Meetings are Wednesdays at 4:00 pm in the faculty room by the cafeteria with sponsors John Britt and Dean Johnston.

Circle K Festival Jail Booth Brings Mock Arrests
Circle K Club hosts its annual Fall Festival with a jail booth in the Liberal Arts parking lot on Saturday. Guests volunteer for mock arrest by Circle K policemen. entry fee is five dollars, due by Friday. Admission scales 20 cents per foot of height.
