Faculty Plans To Attend Workshop In Austin
The University Workshop will convene in Austin Texas on June 8 sponsored by the University of Texas and the National Education Board to discuss administrative and curricular improvements in JC education. Teachers administrators and board members will attend with general and group meetings forming the program. Miss Sylvia P Stern heads the Library Program Committee with other LJC staff and Drs Bogue and Reynolds will attend as consultants.

LJC Choir Plans Tuesday Night Concert and Tour
The LJC Choir directed by Mrs. Gladys Ellis schedules a Tuesday auditorium program and a Thursday Cedar Bayou High School concert as part of a local tour. The group performs a mixed program of semi classical and secular pieces including works by Palestrina Bach and Beethoven with a solo by Cummings and selections from Humperdinck, Cain, and Mozart.

Designated Dead Week at College May 14–20
The college declares May 14 to 20 as dead week with no new written assignments or tests to help students catch up and complete make up work. Exams run May 21 to 26. Baccalaureate is May 23 and commencement on May 28.
Baccalaureate Sermon Planned for Local Graduates
Dr. Paul Quillian will deliver the baccalaureate sermon for Robert E. Lee High School and Lee Junior College at Memorial Stadium on May 23 at 8 p m. Commencement for both classes follows May 28 at 8 p m in Memorial Stadium with diplomas awarded by George Gentry and scholarships presented by Dean Rundell and Mr R B Spark. If weather fails, services move to the High School auditorium.
