College Plans Night For Parents Grads Opens at Lee College
Lee College will host an open house for former graduates, parents of Lee High School seniors, and current students on April 14. About two thousand invited. program features Lee College talent and five outstanding graduate awards for service and contributions to the college and community. Ten faculty committees handle entertainment, invitations, exhibits, and tours. Jack Carpenter leads a publishing committee planning a campus life brochure.

Dean Rundell will attend the Association of Colleges and Universities annual meeting in Fort Worth on April 7 8. As a member of the Committee on Standards and Classifications he will also be at the April 5 6 committee meeting and will submit an inspection report on Jacksonville College Texas as an applicant for membership. He accompanied by President Gentry attended the American Association of Junior Colleges meeting in Washington February 28 March 4 with the theme The Role of the Junior College in the Development of Education.

Choir to Sing For March 30 Assembly
The Lee College Choir will present a program on March 30 at 10 30 a m with a variety of selections. The Brass Quartet Bob Hester Willis Holoway Duaine Jacobs and James Bryant will perform. Featured soloists are Martha Dorrell and Allen Gordon. The program includes Negro spirituals Gibbon s arrangements and a Bach selection. LC choir members Jo Thomas Mary Helen McFerr en and John Paul Collins are composing a school song.

Meet the Faculty Stephenson Shapes many interests in arts
Stephenson head of the Lee College Fine Arts Department emphasizes diverse passions beyond music. Raised in southwestern Iowa he sang from childhood and earned degrees from Simpson College and the University of Michigan. He taught at Lon Morris and the University of Wichita before joining Lee College. He composes, arranged Tallis canon, gave recitals, and recently moved to Craigmont Addition with wife Sue.

Masonry Underway at New Pool and Library on campus
Construction on the pool and library buildings progresses with foundations and steel in place. Masonry starts next week under job superintendent A E Brown while architect Lowell Lammers designed the structures to complement campus. The pool ties to the gym, features blue radius columns, and includes spectator areas while the library centers around two reading rooms flanked by desks and stacks. completion aims for September 1 to align with the fall semester.
