The Lee College Choir announces an Easter Sunrise service on April 9 with three numbers SING YE TO THE LORD CRUCIFIXION and IN MONTE OLIVETI. They will give a spring concert on April 16 in the high school auditorium featuring a varied program led by Mr Seale.
Students discuss roles in Philip Barry's PHILADELPHIA STORY directed by Mrs. Lynn O'Hagan. Elizabeth Hill portrays the stern mother while Joy Powell plays Elizabeth Imbrie the photographer. Dolly Moskowitz expresses joy at joining a cast hailed as highly entertaining and chaotic with themes of society and marriage.
Construction of the Lee College plant may start as early as May 1. The Highlands annex to Goose Creek ISD has been validated and signed by the Governor. The bond sale is awaiting AG and bond-house approval before bids are sought, with start possibly by year end and occupancy expected next January or February on Robert E Lee Drive east of the Administration Office.
Jackie Alford announces the fourth annual Lee College picnic set for Saturday April 1 at Lyondale. Five committees lead activities with Barbara Clark chairing Recreation, Taylor Miller Arrangements, Bobby Traylor Transportation, Joe Dollar Annete Costley Publicity, and Helen Morgan Food assisted by Helen Bedinger and Dean Williams.
Registrar Mark Eakin announced March 24 concludes the first nine weeks of the second semester. Grades will be issued on the following Tuesday and Wednesday.
