A Capella Choir To Sing Tonight In Coast Of Texas Tour
The A Capella Choir of Southwest Texas State Teachers College performs at Robert E Lee auditorium at 8 15 p m tonight as part of a Coast Of Texas tour April 23 to 27. The 50 voice group visits ten Texas towns covering more than 300 miles with a program of classical music Negro spirituals cowboy melodies contemporary and folk songs. Directed by Irs Renny Bowles the choir will also sing in San Antonio and San Marcos on prior engagements. Admission is free and the public is invited.

Jack Alford and Jo Ann Hopper will be crowned king and queen of the Lee College Student Body at the Fourth Annual Coronation and Formal. Prince and Princess Albert Jacobs and Helen Morgan, dukes Carl David Russell and Jimmy Johnson, and duchesses Mary Peskey and Jeannine Owens join a larger royal contingent from local high schools. A grand march precedes the crowning in the main ballroom with Band master Bill Kovar leading the orchestra. admission is 1.50 per couple or single.
