Draft law changes noted at Lee Lantern college draft update
Draft information will be carried in the Lee Lantern as received. If a selective service amending act passes making 18 year olds eligible for induction, facts note that at most half of typical male freshmen would be 18 or older and only about 60 percent of those could be absorbed in the first year. Induction could occur only during the eight summer months as eligibility begins during a college year ending then.

Light Reflections Continued From Page 2
A reader notes Dr. Johnson's stance on Dodgson and the Walrus and Carpenter poem. The editor muses on whether the poet wore, threw at cats, or drank ale from them. The piece suggests possible intoxication or a stutter as lines slip with ships and kings.
Misread Poem Reveals Dodgson’s Struggle for Fame
A self styled analysis argues that Dodgson remained a struggling poet while composing a poem about hardship. The author notes recurring references to sealing wax and cabbage and claims enduring poverty delayed recognition until after his death. The piece hints at a planned public lecture on the other two lines of the verse.
