Students urged to purchase Lee Log annual subscription
A two week subscription drive for the Lee Log annual begins January 25 to fund the 1949 yearbook. About 115 copies sold so far, with a 150 copy goal to ensure publication. Editor Lynne Dudley says staff aims for a complete record of the year, urging clubs to prepare pages and class pictures and art for March 1 submission. Green Elected Head of Alpha Rho Tau
Brent Green is elected president of the Alpha Rho Tau art honor society Delta chapter at LJC. New Shelves Added To Reading Room
A six section double shelved unit was installed in the library to house new bound volumes. Miss Sylvia Stern, the librarian, says the shelf was set up on Wednesday evening January 5 by the Remington Rand Company of Houston. Birch used for construction with a natural finish, cost $561.75. All books will be rearranged when time permits.

After Dinner Speeches Heard by Group
The Public Speaking Class under Mrs Lynn O Hag an held its annual Christmas Dinner by candlelight December 21 at Humble Dormitory Dining Room. The calendar was advanced fifteen years and a debate split the class between those who pretended to return successful and those who stayed home. Eugene Compton was Master of Ceremonies, Alice Sparks and Charles Williams led the arrangements.

January 24 Set for Students to Register
Registration for the spring semester begins at 1 PM and runs to 9 PM on Monday January 24. Students travel through rooms 223 225 221 then to the office to pay fees. Those already registered may simply stop by the office to pay fees. registrar Mr Mark Eakin urges early registration if possible.

The final exams start Monday January 17. Dean Rundell urges all students to obtain the exam schedule from the office and learn their sections to avoid confusion. Mid-Term Grades Mailed January 22 by Registrar
Mid-term grades will be mailed Saturday January 22, Mark Eakin registrar announced. All students will receive their grade reports through the mail regardless of scholastic standing. He asked that students not come by the office as grades will not be there.

Variety Revue by LJC Choir Proves Success
College Stunt Night at LJC sponsored by Mrs. Gladys Ellis delighted students and faculty with a humor filled talent show. Acts included fashion parodies by Nick Sacaris and others, a Barbershop Sextet, juggling, poetry, ballet, and card games, ending with audience amusement and applause.
